TOP TIPS ON GETTING MOVING


  • Walk instead of taking the bus or car. Walk as quickly as you feel comfortable with
  • Walk to a bus stop further away from your house, or get off a stop early
  • Take your dog out or offer to walk someone else’s
  • Use the stairs instead of the lift
  • Dance
  • Washing the car, cleaning the housing and doing the garden all count as exercise and they make you popular at home too…
  • Try to do one hour of exercise as many days of the week as you can and are able to, depending on the specialist advice you’ve been given
